The statistics on the low number of women in the power industry can be discouraging and yet in reality, there are many successful women in energy and even more to be nurtured. The Women in Power Luncheon at POWER-GEN International celebrates achievements and offers successful strategies to further workforce diversity.
The theme of the luncheon is: 30 Years of Women in Power: Where Are We Going and How Are We Going to Get There?
Attendees will hear from diverse speakers, representing women just starting in the industry to those who are well-established, on ways to attract the best talent and enable a more diverse workforce. The energy industry needs to be deliberate about making sure women are represented. Play a critical role in setting a new trend — getting more women to the table.
The luncheon is on Tuesday, Dec. 4, and has a separate registration fee of $55. Space is limited, so sign up quickly.
POWER-GEN International prides itself on being the place where Conventional Meets Renewable. For the renewable energy industry, POWER-GEN offers tracks on All Things Solar, Microgrids: An Ideal Solution, Energy Storage Breakthroughs, Next-Gen Wind, and an entire conference track on hydropower, called Hydropower Trends and Innovations. Sessions in that track cover small hydro, hydro’s role as a baseload and peaking resource, and climate change adaptations by hydro plant owners.
