World leaders to meet in Seville for crucial International Conference on Financing for Development
Media accreditation OPEN until 12 June 2025
New York, 2 April 2025 – The Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) to take place in Seville, Spain, from 30 June to 3 July 2025, will bring together leaders and delegates from around the world to advance solutions to the urgent financing challenges threatening the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With progress on the SDGs off track and rising systemic risks such as climate change and conflicts, the Conference aims to drive action to unlock greater volumes of capital at a lower cost and reform the international financial architecture to better support developing countries.
The Conference will provide a crucial platform for governments, international organizations, financial institutions, businesses, and civil society to advance the transformative changes in financing that the world urgently needs.
Building on the Addis Ababa Action Agenda and the commitments made in the Pact for the Future, adopted in 2015 and 2024 respectively, discussions will focus on delivering an SDG investment push and reforming the international financial architecture through a renewed global financing framework.
FFD4 will emphasize strengthening global cooperation and mobilizing investments, particularly in developing countries. It will also provide a critical opportunity to drive action and ensure that financing supports inclusive and sustainable development.
