Jeff Anthony, chief operating officer at the Midwest Energy Research Consortium (M-WERC) and a longtime leader in the power generation sector, has died after a recent illness.
Anthony spent numerous years giving of his time as a committee member for the Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo North America. This past week he was a committee member for POWER-GEN International.
Anthony joined M-WERC in 2014 as director of business development. Prior to that, he worked for the American Wind Energy Association and for Wisconsin Electric-We Energies in the nuclear power area.
“Jeff was a good person, a colleague who made a difference in everything he did, both here at M-WERC, at AWEA, and We Energies,” M-WERC CEO Alan Perlstein said. “He was intelligent, persistent, and a critical thinker who enjoyed leveraging process to get things done. He made all of our lives better and successful.”
Anthony began his career with General Electric. He received his undergraduate degree in nuclear engineering from Purdue University and also has an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
